Rating: 5 out of 5.
Great food, super friendly FBO (Desert Skies) and definitely worth the trip.

This was my first time to visit KHII and Waldo's. Great food. Super friendly and fast service. The ribs and pulled pork were outstanding! The Desert Skies folks were top notch from guiding us to a tie down spot, chalking our wheel (slight incline) to fueling us up. This is a must visit Fly-2-Lunch!!

Fantastic barbecue, better than what I get at home in California and as good as most places I know in Texas. Pulled pork with mustard vinegar was my favourite, also good smoky brisket, crispy fries, and cool coleslaw. Good looking bar too for the non-pilots. The building is beautiful, comfortable and nicely designed. And the staff was friendly and professional. Two cuts above the usual airport restaurant. As a bonus, there's 3 FBOs at the airport competing on fuel price so it makes a great refueling stop.

Waldo's BBQ is the newest hot spot for amazing food and atmosphere right on the airport!
I have traveled to HII multiple times over the years and this new restaurant has it all: large screens for any and all sports, comfortable couches and a beautifully crafted bar.

The food takes the atmosphere to the next level! Enjoy beef brisket, pulled pork, sirloin, with all the sides you can imagine! My favorite is the pulled pork with sweet potato fries and grilled veggies.

Did I mention that HII has the lowest fuel in the 11 Western States?
