Tin Goose Diner/Liberty Air Museum at Carl R Keller Field (PCW)
Rating: 3 out of 5.
We've been there a couple times. Like most airport diners, it's more for the experience than the food. The restaurant itself is nice and well restored, but with average food. Coffee is mediocre. Breakfasts are good, granted. It's hard to screw up breakfast. Dinners are mediocre. Certainly worth going, it's just that the food is not *amazing*. Restaurant is in SE corner of field. Most map apps/satellite photos don't have it yet.

The Dinner Table Restaurant at Dillant-Hopkins (EEN)

Great food and cheap! Just outside the airport gates. Definitely fly in for a quick breakfast here!

Bluebird at Carroll County-Tolson (TSO)
Rating: 4 out of 5.
Everything that lands at TSO goes to the on field restaurant. But if you look at the big sign just passed it, you'll see one for Bluebird Restaurant. You walk on a trail literally through the woods to get there. It's a short walk, but it seems like you're going through a forest. It's almost surreal, but it's there. Tried to go today, Sunday, but it was closed. Otherwise normal hours, I guess.

Fiorentino's Bar and Grill at Lancaster (LNS)

My friend and I went there for a quick x-country. We found a very pleasant environment and great people. Highly recommended.

Thelma's Family Restaurant & Bakery at Big Bear City (L35)
Rating: 4 out of 5.
Nice place and a very short walk from the airport. Bring cash, no credit cards taken. Menu had lots of options. Daughter had the chili spaghetti, which was good. Lots of baked goods and homemade pies available for dessert.

Tartuffle's Restaurant at Fullerton Muni (FUL)
Rating: 2 out of 5.
New ownership and a completely redone restaurant. The ambiance is wonderful and they went all out on the renovations. The food was OK with the usual breakfast faire. My wife had the chicken fried steak, which was pretty thin and greasy. I had the scrambled eggs. Plates are big, but the portions are small. Family near by, so we had to fly in and try it. Get there early, as the place was small and the wait long.

My Desert Rose at Ocotillo (L90)
Rating: 1 out of 5.
My Desert Rose burned to the ground several years ago, so this is no longer available as a place to go and eat.

Hangar 1 Cafe at Hemet-Ryan (HMT)
Rating: 4 out of 5.
Wonderful little place. Patio is dog friendly. Great servers and very good food. The Mustang is excellent - homemade banana bread french toast. Usually have some specials and they are always good. Save room for pie.

Bob's Chili Cafe at Corona Muni (AJO)
Rating: 4 out of 5.
Restaurant has changed names and reopened. Great food and specials on the weekends. Peruvian Loma Saltado sandwiches, chilaquilies and huevos rancheros are favorites.
