Thai Thai at Eastern Sierra Rgnl (BIH)
Rating: 5 out of 5.
I wish there was a way to give a 6 to Thai Thai. My wife and I are Thai food crazy, and the cusine here was better than anything we have within 100 miles of our home town of Reno. OMG! I am vegetarian, and the owner cheerfully made me an exquisite Tofu Pad Thai, and my wife had a Panang Chicken Curry that she said was every bit as good as...or better than... we had eaten in Panang. Locals told me the owner rides her bicycle into town every day to get supplies, and the restaurant was packed with locals, so that tells you something. Tiedowns are a stroll away, fuel as well. Good enough we now plan flights to Vegas to include a stop at Bridgeport!

Tail Dragger Restaurant at Minden-Tahoe (MEV)
Rating: 3 out of 5.
Adding a review to let folks know it is still open. Plain old local restaurant type food, breakfast is better than lunch. Service, food, cost are all purely average. View of the airfield and tiedowns are close. Be aware that Minden is a world class glider destination, so be prepared to go around several times for gliders in the pattern.

Sky Lounge at Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County (STS)
Rating: 4 out of 5.
Since this is primarily a bar and restaurant for the airline terminal, menu is biased towards that, but, being in the Sonoma Valley, has a California stylish twist and is very yummy. Quick service, very polite, food was great. Be aware that you will have two tiedown options, Sonoma Jet Center or Kaiser Air. Both are the same distance, about a 10 minute walk to the restaurant. We picked Sonoma Jet and could not have been happier, really nice staff, no cost for the couple of hours, and they gave us a bottle of wine as we left. Make sure you buy a Charles Shultz coffee cup, too.

Nancys Airport Cafe at Willows-Glenn County (WLW)
Rating: 5 out of 5.
Food was GREAT, as was the service. If you are an aviation nut...arent we all...just wandering around the booths looking at the airplane memorabilia is too cool. Tiedown is about 100 feet away but bring your own rope. Cost very reasonable for smalltown cafe menu. Good enough that we returned twice. Yum!

Harmons Rocket Shop Cafe at Bakersfield Muni (L45)
Rating: 3 out of 5.
Echo what others have said, it is at the extreme northwest corner of the airport. Despite good signage on the taxiways we were beginning to doubt we were headed to the right spot! Most of the patrons are locals, we were the only pilots. Food is average, typical local burger restaurant menu. Clean. Service was polite but slowish. Yes, we would go back. BTW, be aware of the TALL power lines on final south of the field, we were expecting them and they still were a wow moment.

Voyager Restaurant at Mojave (MHV)
Rating: 4 out of 5.
Food was great, service was even better. Tiedown is literally 50 feet from the restaurant door! The only downside is that it is expensive, we spent north of 30 dollars for two sandwiches and sodas. The other nice thing is taxi to and from the runway, an airplane sightseeing paradise with all the exotic aircraft. Definitely worth the stop!
