Pilot Pete's Reviews

Rating: 2 out of 5.
Pilot Pete's used to be a favorite. They have since dropped all my favorite (vegetarian) options. They have a number of varieties of burgers, how hard is it to substitute a veggie patty and service a large (and growing) number of people? In several requests with the owner, he was indifferent to the now complete lack of choices. True, it is his restaurant and it is my dollars, there are other places to go.

Great place to eat! Great food and menu variety. Second story restaurant that overlooks the ramp. Easy airport to fly into within the Chicago class B.

Definitely not a dive, but I like it anyway. This is a good place to go for a nice lunch or dinner. If you are looking for the feeling of the "old days" it won't be the place you want. A good place to drive or fly in too.

I totally agree with Kent... Pilot Pete's is my favorite on-field restaurants. Great view of local airport and look a little higher for the ORD rwy 9L/R approaches. Nice FBO, now has self serve fuel too. Class B starts at 1900'.

Pilot Pete's is one of the best on-field restaurants I've ever been to. Again, it's the drive-in locals that keep it alive and very busy. Well worth tangling with the airspace (this is the closest airport to O'Hare).
