Nice place and a very short walk from the airport. Bring cash, no credit cards taken. Menu had lots of options. Daughter had the chili spaghetti, which was good. Lots of baked goods and homemade pies available for dessert.

Reasonable prices, but we weren't impressed with the chicken fried steak. Side corn on the cob was overdone, and the rest just wasn't especially tasty. Nice outdoor seating, though.

I'd be willing to give them another shot, probably for their all-you-can-eat ribs on Saturday nights.

Thelma's rocks. Great food at reasonable prices. The breakfast special is the best along with daily dinner specials. Cozy inside seating or a nice patio. Worth the quarter mile walk.

If you've been to Big Bear, but not Thelma's, try it next time. Thelma's is only about 2 blocks from the airport. Park your plane at the transient parking mid-field on the south side of the runway. From there walk southeast to Big Bear Boulevard. Go left (east) and you'll see Thelma's on your left in a couple blocks. Enjoy the home-style cooking!
