Great food and wonderful old school terminal. Taxiway Charlie runs straight into the restaurant. I used the phone number posted on the door to get in. If you get in early the best dining room has great views of the runways.

New Restaurant located in the newly renovated Lakefront Airport Terminal Building. It’s open for breakfast and lunch 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM seven days a week. Some people have had some access issues they flew in. The doors to the terminal from the ramp in front of the terminal are locked. If you go to an FBO to park some have been asked to pay some type use fee.

The suggested procedure is to simply park in front of the terminal building. When you get to the entrance door there is a number posted for the restaurant. Just call that number to get let into the terminal within probably a minute. Then ask them to let you out after an amazing meal inside a stunning facility. No fees, and everyone has a cell phone. Sounds easy & reasonable, give it a try!

This was my parents first flight with me and I picked this location based on reviews. The staff were friendly, the service was excellent, the decor was awesome and the food was top notch. We 3 had a total of two different types of the burger and we all had the curl fries. It was to die for!! This lunch, at this restaurant was part of a perfect day. Get there early as by the time we left it was full.

We flew from Austin to Lakefront Airport with the express desire of trying Messina's Runway Cafe. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for what appeared to be an extravagant, 1930's themed private event. The Terminal is worth visiting for the jaw-dropping, recently restored art deco architecture alone. I hear the authentic New Orleans food is a standout in a city of standout restaurants as well. I guess we will have to find out another time.
