Good food and good service. Airport now charges $10 landing fee even if you are just going to the restaurant (Piedmont Aviation) unless you are registered in Rhode Island.

The guy at the terminal said there is a $5 per engine landing fee, but that is waived if you eat at the restaurant. We did, and enjoyed a nice breakfast with a full complement of local characters on the barstools next to us. Nice approach to the airport over picturesque cliffs and beaches.

Been here a few times. Great flight out to Block Island. The restaurant is right inside the terminal. BID is building a brand new terminal, but last time I was there a few months ago the old terminal was still there with the restaurant inside. Everything (including Bethany's Diner) is supposedly moving to the new terminal, which should now be open in 2009. I highly recommend Bethany's. It's the only restaurant on the island that serves breakfast year-round, so you get a good local crowd especially in the fall and winter. Waitstaff is always attentive and the food always good. Usually they have a few specials on the board, but they also have all the regular breakfast items as well.
