Sunset Pub & Grill Reviews

Rating: 4 out of 5.
One of the few options open later in the day for a dinner trip. Despite ATC delays causing us to miss our reservation time and it being cancelled, we were still seated in 15 minutes despite a large crowd. There were few pilots and a lot more locals so that attests to it not just being a $100 burger place. Speaking of Burgers, they were great and large 10 oz. Overall food was good and would recommend. Note, parking wasn't clear. I took what may have been someone's tie down spot and fortunately there were no issues. Next time I would taxi by the outdoor dining area and just back my plane towards the tiedowns.

Disappointed after seeing the great reviews on here. But they do seem to be older reviews; I guess things have changed.

The food was decent... The French Onion soup was the best I have had in a while. My daughter's burger was good, but not $14 good.

My biggest gripe was drinks... The cups said, 'Coke', the server didn't correct when we ordered 'Coke', the receipt says 'Coke', but the boxes connected to the taps said 'Cola Beverage.' This wouldn't be so bad itself, despite charging $2.50 for non-Coke, but after I was half way through my refill and just after my daughter asked for a refill, the server says, 'Oh, I forgot to mention...we charge for refills. I meant to tell you that before you ordered one.'

So yeah, $5.00 in 'Cola Beverages.' Petty? Maybe. But you don't hit someone with a $75 bill an extra $2.50 for refills.

In summary, the food is good; not spectacular. Prices are on the high side. No worse than many places, but DEFINITELY NOT worth a special trip just to eat here.

We have been there a couple of times. This past weekend all we can say is it was excellent. Try the 6 Slider Combo, we'll be back soon. Go early so you can park your plane.

Had dinner here on 4/20/12. Excellent! Narrow runway, and very narrow taxiways, but no problem for an Archer.

What a treat!! The food here is great and the menu is quite extensive. There is truly something for everyone. I had an Ahi Tuna Salad that was fantastic. Can't wait to go back!

This has to be the best place I have visited as a new pilot looking to build XC time. The restaurant is very nice and so is the wait staff. The food is a bit pricey but well worth the money... If this place was local, it would be a favorite hangout.

The latest iteration of restaurants at the Lincoln Park Airport. The owners are locals and have sunk big bucks, tearing down the old building and starting from scratch.

There is a full indoor bar and outdoor bar, with outdoor seating, a patio, and inside seating (2 floors). I have not been to a better airport restaurant, the quality of the food is well above what we normally expect from 'airport restaurants'. This is quickly becoming a local favorite, not just with pilots.

Expect to pay $8-9 for cocktails, $11 for burgers, and about the same for the exceptional salads and wraps. It's not cheap, but this really is some quality food.

I'm not affiliated with the place, but I wish them the best. I'm a local, and a pilot.
